Why XSoft.pk exists

Pakistani businesses do not fail for lack of ambition. They fail because the systems behind the ambition are three spreadsheets, one register and a WhatsApp group. A distributor with forty crore of turnover can be unable to answer a simple question — which of my five hundred customers is actually profitable — for weeks.

Enterprise software was supposed to solve this, and for large companies it did. But the pricing model never fitted everyone else: a dollar licence, a server room, a permanent IT team and a two-year implementation. Most companies below a few hundred employees simply stayed on spreadsheets, not because they preferred them but because the alternative was unaffordable and unmanageable.

XSoft.pk was founded in 2016 on a different model. Build the software once, host it centrally, configure it for each client, and rent it monthly in rupees. No licence, no server, no IT department. If the software stops earning its rent, the client stops paying — which is a far stronger quality incentive than a support contract.

How we work

Every engagement follows the same four steps, because the failure mode in Pakistani software projects is almost always scope, not technology. A written specification before development, and a working system within days rather than quarters, keeps both sides honest.

1. Requirement conversation. We ask what the process is today — not what software you want. The answer usually identifies a smaller system than the client first asked for.
2. Live demo on your data. We demonstrate the closest matching system with sample entries that look like yours, so the gap between the demo and your reality is visible before you pay.
3. Written quotation. Monthly rent and one-time setup, itemised, in rupees. No dollar conversion clause, no hidden per-user licence.
4. Go live and stay involved. Data import, user roles, training in Urdu or English, then support on WhatsApp and by phone. Custom modules are quoted separately with a fixed scope.

What the software is built on

All XSoft.pk systems share one technical foundation: Laravel on PHP, MySQL for data, and a responsive browser interface that works on desktop, tablet and mobile without a separate app. That decision matters to clients for three practical reasons.

• One codebase, one security patch. A fix applied to the framework reaches every client, rather than being re-implemented per installation.
• Customisation is possible. Because the code is ours, a field, report, invoice format, approval chain or integration can be added. Resellers of foreign software cannot offer that.
• No lock-in on data. Records export to Excel and PDF, and APIs are exposed for integration with existing systems, so leaving is possible — which is exactly why clients stay.

Who we serve

Our clients are Pakistani businesses between roughly ten and a thousand employees: distributors and wholesalers, manufacturers, retail chains, restaurants and hotels, schools and colleges, hospitals, clinics and diagnostic labs, pharmacies, property developers and housing societies, transport and courier companies, NGOs, clubs and professional practices.

They share a profile rather than an industry: enough transaction volume that manual records have become the constraint, and an owner who wants to see the numbers without hiring a reporting department.
